ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT:
Ecological Responsibility in Practice

Environmental protection measures

Excerpt from our environmental protection measures:

✔ Certified Finishing: Our printing and embroidery facilities are exclusively GOTS-certified or operate as contractually bound subcontractors in the certification process.

✔ Circular Packaging (B2C only): All promotional materials, hangtags, and shipping packaging are made from recycled raw materials and/or environmentally friendly grass paper. Cardboard boxes from our suppliers are systematically reused for further shipping to reduce waste.

✔ Climate Protection & Reforestation (B2C only): Green Shirts is certified as a climate-neutral company according to the CO2 Gold Standard. Through the organization Plant for the Planet, we plant at least 500 trees per year; in the end-customer business, one tree is financed for each individual order.

✔ Operational Environmental Policy: Processing facilities in our supply chain must demonstrate a written environmental policy that legally regulates exhaust air, wastewater emissions, and the handling of waste and sewage sludge according to GOTS criteria. Wet finishing facilities are obliged to continuously monitor pH values, wastewater temperatures, and sediment quantities.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Human Rights & Fair Working Conditions

Excerpt from our Social Policy:

✔ Scope: The social criteria are binding for all stages of textile processing, garment manufacturing, and trade, including the farm level. They are based on the core conventions of the International Labor Organization (ILO), the UNGPs, and the OECD Guidelines.

✔ Voluntary Employment: Any form of forced labor, debt bondage, human trafficking, or slavery is strictly prohibited. Employees retain their identification documents and are not required to pay deposits.

✔ Freedom of Association: All employees have the unrestricted right to form or join trade unions and to engage in collective bargaining.

✔ Prohibition of Child Labor: The employment of children is prohibited. Young people under 18 years of age may not perform night work or hazardous activities and are limited to a maximum of 8 working hours per day.

✔ Non-Discrimination & Protection against Mistreatment: We do not tolerate any discrimination based on gender, race, religion, age, disability, or sexual orientation. The work environment must demonstrably be free from bullying, violence, and sexual harassment.
