The production of our green T-shirts

Green Shirts fashion is made from 100% organic cotton in India. 90% of the water requirement is met by monsoon rains. No genetically modified seeds, no pesticides, and no defoliants are used. The organic cotton is also hand-picked, guaranteeing high quality and protecting the environment. The products are virtually climate-neutral, as the majority of energy needs are met by renewable energy. The finished raw materials are then transported by ship to Hamburg, using a direct and climate-friendly route. In Schweinfurt, our raw materials are labeled with the "GREEN SHIRTS" label and/or embroidered with a "GREEN SHIRTS" logo. We use certified eco-friendly printing with water-based inks. Shipping is handled by "DHL GoGreen," and the packaging is made from recycled maps and recycled cardboard. Payments are handled by GLS Gemeinschaftsbank, one of the leading eco-banks in Germany. Our server provider is BioHost, one of the first providers of ecological web hosting in German-speaking countries.

From raw material to fair shirt - production standards

Our raw textiles are spun, woven, and sewn in Indian factories under socially responsible and sustainable criteria. Fair production standards are ensured by, among others, the Fair Wear Foundation. Our manufacturers are committed to fair trade and compliance with the following standards of our zero-tolerance policy:

How to recognize a truly green T-shirt

What makes a real green shirt unique? If you want to fill your wardrobe with more sustainable and fair-trade clothing, we're happy to help! One problem is that companies like to brand themselves with a green image without actually laying the foundations. But the following criteria will immediately tell you how sustainably a T-shirt was produced.
